How NBCUniversal & Globant Turned a Virtual Flagship Event into a Global Thought Leadership Platform

The Challenge

Globant’s annual flagship event, Converge, brings together some of the world’s brightest minds to share insights on how technology is reinventing business. For 2023, Globant and their global brand agency, Catalyst, wanted to create a virtual experience as compelling as their pre-COVID in-person events — but delivered to a worldwide audience online.

The stakes were high: this was not just another webinar. With a speaker line-up including Bob Iger, Arianna Huffington, Karlie Kloss, Roberto Carlos, Refik Anadol, Tristan Harris, and others, the event needed to be flawless. Globant required a partner who could deliver broadcast-quality production, manage global logistics, and transform content into assets that would live far beyond the live event.

What They Needed

  • A seamless virtual format that could match the prestige of in-person flagship events.
  • Global filming and production management, capturing content across multiple cities and time zones.
  • A flexible content structure to accommodate scheduling challenges with world-class speakers.
  • A library of repurposed content — from promos to documentaries — to maximise ROI and reach.
  • Amplification across digital, social, and broadcast channels to ensure global impact.

Our Approach

We worked with NBCUniversal and Globant to deliver an ‘as-live’ experience that balanced control with creativity:

  • Pre-recorded flexibility: Interviews were filmed in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Seville, plus remote recordings via Riverside.fm. The presenter links and show structure were carefully pre-planned but allowed flexibility for late changes.
  • Studio production: The London studio element was filmed first, anchoring the show with presenter-led storytelling and creating a spine for the event.
  • Global logistics: Using our international network of production partners, we managed filming across multiple geographies to ensure consistency of quality.
  • Content engine: Beyond the main event, we produced a 27-minute highlights programme, an 8-minute documentary, 16 promotional cutdowns, and delivered all 18 long-form interviews in full.

The Results

  • 60-minute as-live event streamed globally.
  • 27-minute show and 8-minute documentary broadcast on CNBC in both the US and EMEA.
  • 16.7 million digital monthly reach via CNBC platforms across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM.
  • 21.9 million global broadcast reach among influential C-suite executives, senior decision-makers, and investors.
  • A lasting content library that positioned Globant as a thought leadership brand at global scale.

The Takeaway

Globant’s challenge wasn’t just to run an event — it was to maintain the prestige and impact of a flagship brand moment in a digital format. The solution was a systematic approach: meticulous planning, global production, and a content engine that ensured ROI long after the event.

What This Means For You

If you’re planning a flagship event or high-stakes virtual experience, the lesson is simple: production quality, structure, and amplification make the difference between a one-off broadcast and a global thought leadership platform.

At Bombora, we partner with brands to deliver end-to-end flagship events — creating broadcast-quality productions that scale globally, build brand trust, and deliver measurable business impact.

Services Highlighted in This Project

  • Virtual Events: Just as we created a fully pre-recorded yet seamless ‘as-live’ virtual experience for Globant and NBCUniversal, we can also help you deliver virtual events that feel just as dynamic and high-end as in-person productions — complete with world-class speakers, strategic storytelling, and flawless execution.
  • Webinars & Live Streaming: We have managed multi-location filming across London, New York, L.A., and Seville, plus remote interviews via Riverside.fm — so whether your speakers are in one city or 10, we can streamline scheduling, capture content globally, and bring it all together into one cohesive production for you too.
  • Highlights Videos: We delivered a 27-minute show, an 8-minute documentary, and 16 promotional cutdowns for Globant’s Converge, so we can do the same for you — transforming your event into a library of powerful, platform-ready content that continues to deliver ROI long after the event ends.
  • Social Media Live Streaming:
We amplified Globant’s content across CNBC’s social and digital channels to reach millions. We can do the same for you — optimising and distributing your content for maximum reach on the platforms your audience actually uses.
  • Branded Graphics Packages:  We created a cohesive visual identity across live and post-produced content — we can build branded motion graphics and design systems to elevate your event, too.
  • Promotional Services:  We helped promote Globant’s content across social and broadcast — and we can help you craft pre-event buzz and post-event momentum with promos, trailers, and targeted campaigns.

Other Services We Offer:

  • Hybrid Events: Combine in-person energy with global digital reach through our expertly designed hybrid event solutions.
  • Video Podcast Production Services: Create professional video podcasts featuring interviews, expert discussions, or branded conversations.
